On Monday 28th November, Lisa Townsend, Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner met with Surrey MPs in Westminster to discuss local policing issues and collaborative working for the benefit of residents.
Each MP received a briefing for their constituency which included local crime and policing data, as well as my Police and Crime Plan.
Lisa discussed various issues with the Members of Parliament including the protestors on the M25, officer recruitment, mental health and the role of police officers, and fraud.
Nolan Heather, the Surrey Police Federation Representative, joined the first half of the meeting to discuss challenges faced by officers and how MPs can best support officers in their roles in Parliament.
Following the meeting, Lisa said,
"I look forward to welcoming Surrey MPs to Mount Browne in the new year once I have appointed a new Chief Constable. We will continue to work together to support our communities in Surrey."
